Internet Marketing - Tips To Marketing On The Internet

Truly, you need to take a moment to think about how you would really answer this question. If given enough thought just about any business owner who utilizes the Internet for any purpose will likely find that whether or not they intentionally organized an Internet marketing campaign, they may already be marketing their products and services on the Internet. This article will examine some subtle ways business owners may already be marketing their business on the Internet.

Have you a website for your business? Business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their products or services online just by virtue of the fact that they have a website online. Having a live website means there is the potential for curious Internet users to access your website. You may not be actively promoting your website but you may still find that your website generates interest in your products despite the lack of promotional endeavors. This is a form of passive marketing.

Have you ever thought of participating in message boards and include a link to your website in your signature? Again business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their website online. Savvy business owners realize the importance of participation in industry related message boards to create an interest in their products and services, establish themselves as knowledgeable about the industry and offer a link to their own website even if it is in the signature line of their posts. However, even business owners who do not realize this may already be inadvertently enjoying the benefits of Internet marketing which result from message board participation just by doing something they enjoy and may be doing as a form of leisure activity.

Have you ever thought of including keywords which are relevant to your business in the content of your website? Business owners who answer yes to this question are also already marketing on the Internet by optimizing their website for these keywords. These search engine optimization (SEO) affects the websites whether or not they were even aware of the concept of keyword density and how it can help to SEO a website. Business owners will likely use certain words often depending on the type of products and services they offer just because it is natural and logical to do so. This tendency, however, can result in search engines boosting your website rankings for these particular keywords. The concept of SEO is much more involved and complex than simply using keywords frequently but business owners can gain some benefit just by naturally applying relevant keywords to their website.

Moreover, do you solicit feedback from your customers online? This is yet another example of how business owners may be accidentally marketing their business on the Internet. Most business owners realize the importance of soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes and those that offer products online might solicit feedback in the form of online surveys. Although they may be doing this simply for a business purpose but for the fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Internet marketing.

Finally, we have already discussed several ways in which business owners may already be marketing online but what about business owners who want to have an increased online presence? Business owners who may already be marketing online accidentally may wish to launch a full scale Internet marketing campaign. The best way to do this is to hire a consultant with experience in Internet marketing to assist you in creating a campaign which is effective for your target audience and for better profits.

How To Make Money With Google Adwords

The best way I found to promote affiliate products is to use google adwords but it is a very hard thing to get good at, A lot of people think they can just get a google adwords account and start making money. That could not be more wrong and if you learn that way you will wind up spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars. You have to do you research and it might mean you spend a good $200-$500 but once you know what you are doing then it makes it so you can make money with google adwords instead of wasting money.

About 2 months ago I bought this book called the secret 2 online money. They actually have a lot of good information about how to become an affiliate and how to use ppc. The other book that I found to be very useful is google nemesis. This book tells you everything on how to make money with google adwords.

To be honest with you if you are thinking about promoting affiliate products those are the only 2 books you really need to get started. But after that then I would advise you to get other books like google snatch 2 and affiliate pay load.

So anyway if you are really interested in making money with google and increasing the return on your investment you need to buy the books mentioned above and learn everything that is in them.

This list below is what the books will teach you about.
How to use Adwords to make money promoting affiliate programs
How to get the most money out of google adwords
How to use Google keyword tools to help you find the best keywords
How to create a google adwords campaign
How to use Google search engine to your best advantage
How to get keywords which you pay only .10-.50 cents for instead of $1.00-$3.00

As I said before a lot of people go join this programs and expect to make tons of money with google right off the bat before doing any research. But that is why you heard of lot of bad stuff about how google adwords only works for the rich and people that have money to burn. Well yes this is true if you do not know what you are doing. But if you do then you can make more than a pretty good living.

Get these books and you will make money

Again if you do not have the money to spend then I understand. But I suggest that you at least get the first 2 or there is no point of you getting into this field. The saying that you need money to make money is a little true. But you do not need millions to make millions you just need money to start and then the money you make you can reinvest.

thesecret2onlinemoney This book has a lot of information on how to be a super affiliate. If you are a newbie in the game this book is a definite to get. They have a good amount of info on their page and I hear that they are coming out with a lot more.

Google Adsense And Your Blog

Anyone who bought Google's shares a few years back must be really happy now with the returns. But most of these investors know Google only as a search engine and nothing else. There's no denial to the fact that Google started off as a search engine but the guys at Google were smart enough to realize the true potential of internet and branched out the company into several other businesses.

One of these subsidiaries of Google is called AdSense. Most of you must have heard of it but are not sure of what it is and how it helps people make a lot of money online. We'll tell you here all that you need to know about Google AdSense and how you too can benefit from it.

In layman's terms Google AdSense is a marketing company. But you must rise above that level if you really want it to also work for you. It is not just any other ordinary marketing company. It is an online marketing company
and its marketing techniques are to say the least very innovative. It is an advertising company that is paid only if people see the advertisements and click on it.

Google AdSense ads are one of the most convenient and hassle free ways of advertising on your website. You just have to sign up with Google AdSense, accept their terms and then just sit back and do your part of the bargain, that is blogging and posting relevant content on your blog. After Google places ads on your blog and the visitors click on it Google will pay you fee based on Pay Per Click basis.

So what's in it for Google? Well, Google does not pay you the entire advertising fee to you but only a smaller percentage of what it gets. So Google also makes a good amount of money in all this exercise.

Now you must be thinking that why should you share the advertising revenue with Google when you are doing all the hard work of attracting visitors to your blogs? Well, that is because Google has a brand name which you perhaps don't have right now. Apart from that Google being a huge organization has more credibility amongst the advertisers than an individual or a small company. So there's nothing to fret about if you have to share the revenue generated out of advertising with Google AdSense. If you want to see what I am saying try and persuade 4 companies to advertise on your website and pay you on per click basis.

The form which you have to fill in for subscribing to Google AdSense will ask for some of your information like bank account number, Social Security number, Tax account number, address etc. Feel free to give it them because your information will be encrypted and stored only to be retrieved in case of a legal issue.

Google AdSense also pays the subscribers for referrals. Referrals basically mean that you will get paid an amount of money if you refer someone else to become a subscriber of Google AdSense. Also if you place Google's toolbar on your blog and somebody downloads it, then also you get a commission for that based on every download.

While a lot of people have made a lot of money with Google AdSense, there are many others who just can't stop complaining that it is just another fraud. The crux of the matter is that you have to be smart and write content that is search engine friendly while being informative or interesting to the reader at the same time if you really want Google AdSense to work for you.

Google Adsense: What You Need to Know!

We read about how to develop a Google AdWord campaign, but where do these ads get featured? To think that the advertisements feature only on Google depending on the keywords searched by users is not true as that isis only part of the ad exposure.

Google AdSense can be considered the other half of AdWords. AdSense allows website owners to feature relevant Google ads on their website which matches user profile with the profile requirement of each ad and also allows website owners to EARN revenue via the traffic generated by website.

So if you have a website which attracts decent number of hits every month, Google AdSense is probably a good revenue generation model for you and the below mentioned benefits should be effective to get you convinced:

Add a revenue stream to your business:

Google AdSense provides an added revenue stream to your business which is very easy to set up and has a robust backend application which delivers the most relevant ads to the most relevant target group.

Set up procedure is very simple:

You do not need any technology know-how when it comes to signing up with Google AdSense. A simple sign up process, subsequent approval, and copying some basic html code onto your website will get you started with Google ads on your site right away.

Immediate advertisers on your site:

Since Google already operates a very successful AdWords program, where thousands of advertisers sign up, you get immediate advertisers who would like to be featured on your website. No sales or marketing is required by you to get advertisers at any stage.

Continuous Technology enhancement at no cost to you:
Google research team spends thousands of man hours in improving the AdSense programme so that users are directed to the most relevant ads and all this is available to you with no cost.

Don't fret if you don't have a high viewer ship rate on your site:

You can still earn via Google AdSense. You can feature the Google search box on your site and the subsequent page displayed with the search results has ads featured on them which can be your revenue generating AdSense Campaign.

No Junk ads displayed on your website:

If you are concerned about displaying junk advertisements which might have no relevance to your website visitors, then Google AdSense is for you. Only relevant ads are displayed to users and that is picked by both the profile that you put together as well as the content on your website. A number of well defined filters work behind the AdSense programme allowing the application to be 'intelligent'.

Find Google ads a tad boring?:

You are not the only one. Even Google engineers realize that the ads need some colour to them and you can add that to the display option. This does not eat into the users' bandwidth and yet displays using a good colour combination on the website.

Google also operates a premium program for webmaster for the AdSense program if your website is attracting more than twenty million page views and five million search queries per month and this is known as AdSense Premier.

Getting started is easy:

It is difficult not to be convinced about the AdSense program, and you can start off quite easily with a single page form which requires basic information about the type of account you would like to have ( business or individual), website information, select product (AdSense for Content or AdSense for Search) and contact information.

Login needs to be created simply with a valid and frequently accessed email address. All the information submitted is sent to Google for approval and on approval, you receive a link to fetch code from which you need to post on your website and you are ON!
AdSense is an easy program to understand and implement and has already provided a steady source of income for many a net entrepreneurs! What are you waiting for?

Get Free Goolge Traffic To Your Site

The title is vitally important to how Google and the other search engines rank you. It's probably the single most important part of a webpage. But it's often neglected or badly-worded. I'm as guilty of this as the next guy. I come from a magazine-writing and radio copy-writing background.

I love the doubl entendre and the wacky headline. I saw one yesterday in The Sydney Morning Herald, as it happens. Heading a story on a so-called Millionaire who became a Buddhist monk and was busted several times for growing and supplying hydroponic pot.

The Sub-Editor had a lot of fun with this story by heading it Felonious Monk (From Thelonious Monk the jazz musician). But while that's pretty slick for a newspaper, it's not much good as a heading for an online story. Why? Because they are bad keywords. Nobody's going to Google Felonious Monk are they?

They might Google Monk Growing Pot or something like that but never the other. So the Title is a chance for you to throw up your keywords - your powerful keywords that you've already researched after using a free keyword tool (you'll find one on my Wallyworld site) - throw them up in your Title Tag as its called in HTML and attract Google and the other Search Engines interest (and build backlinks).

The page title should include only your main keywords. The least amount of words you can place in the title, the more weight Google will give to each of the keywords and the higher you will rank. Keep it mean and lean. Cut out the unnecessary words like "How", "You Can", "Get", "Become" - old style copywriting frills like that and go for the jugular - even ditch conjunctions like "and" and "to" if you can. Google doesn't care about the style - it just wants the nitty-gritty.

I could have headed this story something wordy like How to Boost Your Google Rankings and Increase your Adsense Earnings at the Same Time with a Few Simple Tips Using this FREE Tool. But Google would probably just pick up on the Boost Your Google Rankings part anyway.

Add h1 Header Tags to your site. Now we need to add a h1 header tag and put at least one of our strong keywords there.

Put the h1 header tag as far up the top of the page as possible. When Google reads a webpage, it views the text from the top left hand side of the page to the bottom right hand side of the page. The header tag is a title for the content you have on your page.

For example, the h1 header tag of this page might be: "Adding Killer Keywords to Your Titles Can Really Boost Your Google Rankings!"

Add h2 header tags to your site. An h2 header tag is kinda like a sub heading for your webpage where you can put more keywords. And it should be placed somewhere towards the top half of your webpage.

Get it? Use your main keyword in your h1 tags and your secondary keyword into the h2 tags.

Make Use of alt image tags on your site. Next, click on the very top image of your webpage (This is usually your website's header graphic) and include an alt image tag using the text "Boost Your Google rankings" if you're adding this alt text to your website header graphic.

Click on 2 more graphics throughout your webpage and enter your other 2 keywords, plus an extra word like "graphic" or "image"... For example, we would use "adding killer keyword titles graphic" and "keywords to Boost Your Google Rankings image". This ensures that Google won't view this as spam.

A Germany company SISTRIX recently conducted a study of 10,000 random keywords and analysed of the top 100 Google results for each. And here's what they found -

Keywords in the title tag are important as well as in the body of the text but title tag keywords carry far more weight.

Keywords in H2-H6 tags can influence your rankings while keywords in H1 tags do not appear to have much effect.

Keywords in bold or strong tags can positively impact your rankings. Keywords in image file names and image alt attributes also improved a sites rankings.

Keywords in the domain name often ranked higher. Inbound links and PageRank value had a significant impact on rankings.

Two Final Tips: If you want to get your new blog or site listed quickly on Google just get another site with a PageRank of at least 5 to link to you. And don't forget to put your main keywords at the very top left and then at the very bottom right hand side of the webpage. And Boost Your Google Rankings.

Why Page Rank Is Important In Building Traffic

Google Page rank (correctly PageRank) is important in building traffic to your website for a number of reasons. Before we discuss why, here is quick heads up on how it works.

Page Rank is based on links between your site and other sites, in fact specifically between web pages, since it is links between individual pages rather than complete websites that interests Google. That is because Google lists individual pages and not domains. There is a formula that Google uses to determine the value of each link to your site, which is based on the PageRank of the web page providing the link and also the number of other links leaving that page.

You can see the page Rank in the Google PageRank bar on the Google Toolbar – it is the green bar that shows a numerical value of 0 to 10 when you hover your cursor over it. This value is logarithmic, which means that if it takes 10 links to reach PR 1, then it takes a lot more to reach 2. If Google uses a logarithmic factor of 8, as it might do (nobody knows), then it will take 8 links to your site to get to PR 1, 64 to reach PR 2, 512 to PR 3 and so on. This is very basic, since, as I have stated, it also depends on the PR of the page providing the link and the number of other links leaving that page.

Here are the top 4 reasons that in my opinion help most to generate traffic and make you money:

1. The higher your Google PageRank, then the higher Google is likely to list you in the search engine results pages. Google take the view than the more other websites link to yours, then the more relevant your web page must be to the topic in hand, otherwise they wouldn’t link to you. In fact, the links are to specific pages in your site, not to the site as a whole, which is why it is called ‘Page Rank’ and not Site Rank.

2. The higher the Page Rank, then the more relevant other people will consider any particular page on your website to be. They will feel more confident that if they visit your site they will have their questions answered and find the information they are looking for.

3. A high Page Rank shows that you have a high number of links on the pages of other websites. There is then the possibility of others clicking on these links to get to your website.

4. The higher your Page Rank, then the more people will want you to link to their website. That means that they too will be likely to visit your site. They will also offer you a reciprocal link if you want one, and that too will provide you with more exposure online.

There are some factors you should keep in mind that could affect your Page Rank. The way your domain name is presented is very important. Take at look at these domains:

www.mydomain.com, www.mydomain.com/index.html, domain.com, domain.com/index.html

They are all different URLs that will lead somebody using them to your domain. However, search engine spiders see them all as different URLs, and if you use different ways to write your home page URL, then they will all be listed separately, and all be given a different Page Rank. Thus, the page rank for any one of them will be weaker than your page would have been if you had used only the one way to express it. Get into the habit of expressing your domain in only one way.

There are other ways in which poor use of your website URLs and also injudicious linking policies, can harm your Page Rank, but the main point that should keep in mind is that the your page rank applies to each page individually, and you get a share of the Google PageRank of the page that provides you with the link. If that page has a PR of zero, then you get nothing.

In giving my reasons for page rank being important in building traffic, I should stress that it is not one my more important ways of building traffic. However, Google takes notice of your PageRank, otherwise why would it bother giving you a Page Rank in the first place. For that reason alone it is well worth building up as many links back to your webpages as possible, not just for the traffic, but also to keep your website in the public eye.

It is the Home Page that is highest listed on most search engines, and also the page is given the highest PageRank, so if you can persuade others to link to your home page in return for a link from a page internal to your site, then that would be a good deal, and is what you should be trying for.

Don’t ask me though, because I would a link back from your highest Page Ranked page!

Why MSN Won't Make It as a Search Engine

MSN has been continually losing what little footing they had as a search engine. Every month their search engine market share percentage decreases by a percentage or two. You wouldn't think that was much except that if the trend continues, they'll have 0 market share before the end of the year.

So as big as MSN is, you would think they would be able to come up with some incredible fix to this fairly large problem. MSN thinks so too. They have hired new people to come up with something totally new that no one has ever seen before. That's great and I'm all for it, but the problem with this solution to the problem is that building something "new" doesn't fix the real problem. The problem is Google. People want Google. People use Google. Anyone who is anyone uses Google as their search engine, Not MSN. As far as I'm concerned, the only people who use MSN (on a consistent basis) are the people who don't know how to change their default homepage in Internet Explorer. Am I right? And it's not that MSN is a terrible search engine. In fact, it's very up to par. The problem is, it's only up to par. It's not better than Google or Yahoo and so no one who uses either of those search engines is going to switch over to MSN. So why isn't their market share at least stying dormant? Because who doesn't want to use the best search engine?

You see MSN, Google has already filled the "best search engine" quota. Everyone knows it and unless Google really messes up somehow, they will continue to fill the "best search engine" quota forever. And knowing Google, they're not going to mess that up. In fact, there has been recent worry that with all of the acquiring Google is doing in so many different areas, they have stopped focusing on search. However, an official Google representative, Matt Cutts, debauches that theory by saying that their search team just continues to grow and more and more people are devoted to improving it's quality every day. You just don't hear about that because that's not interesting news. The interesting news is the acquisitions that Google has been making and how much money they are spending on buying out these already large companies. So everyone hears that news and the news of increasing quality, relevancy, and functionality of the search engine is smothered out.

So, I hope that whatever "new" thing MSN comes up with is really "new" and by "new" I mean something that can fill a new best-of, because the search engine best-of has already been filled. Good Luck MSN. I hope you don't continue to try and fill the void that is no more a void and hasn't been for a few years now. I know you'll try anyway, and you'll probably keep trying after all of your failed attempts. You'll spend millions and millions of dollars just to slam your head against a brick wall. And will you eventually stop? Probably not, and probably because millions and millions of dollars won't even make a dent in the company's pocket.

So what does this have to do with Search Engine Optimization? Well there are a few good reasons why this topic is a legitimate SEO topic. First, if you know that MSN is not going to make it as a search engine, then you don't need to optimize your site for them. Instead focus on the big search engines such as Google and Yahoo and the up and coming search engines like Ask. Second, knowing the reasons behind why MSN isn't going to make it as a search engine should help you to realize why you are or are not going to make it in your industry. Think about your competition. Is there anyone in your industry who you think really dominates the industry? Is there any particular company you think would be classified by the majority of people as "the best" in the industry? If not, that void needs to be filled. Go for it yourself! However, if you said yes, don't do what MSN is trying to do by trying to push a mountain out of their way. Instead, narrow your industry and become more niche so that you can be the best in that niche. Learn from others mistakes. Believe me, it's the easy route.
